How to drink Gyokuro
HOT BREW (for 3 people)
1st Infusion
- Measure 10g (5 teaspoons) of Gyokuro leaves.
- Add 60ml of water heated to 40-60°C.
- Steep the tea for 90 seconds.
2nd Infusion
- Reuse the same tea leaves.
- Add 60ml of water heated to 55-60°C.
- Steep the tea for 20 seconds.
COLD BREW
- Add about 8g of Gyokuro tea leaves to a teapot.
- Place 3 to 4 large ice cubes inside.

Wait until the ice melts at room temperature.

Pour into a shot glass and enjoy.
Cold-brewing Gyokuro brings out its natural sweetness while reducing bitterness.
It also retains healthful compounds like catechins, making it an excellent choice, especially during hot summer days.
Tips for Best Flavor:
Avoid shaking or stirring the leaves. Instead, allow them to steep slowly over time.
This method helps suppress astringency while enhancing the umami flavor.
